ToolNova is a small, independent collection of calculators built around a simple observation: the questions people actually ask — “what will I take home in Japan?”, “do I have 6 Chancenkarte points?”, “what will my bijli bill be?” — are country-specific, but most calculator sites answer them with one generic formula. Each tool here is built for one country and one situation, using that country’s current rules.
What’s on the site
- International tools for high-cost-of-living countries: a Japan expat finance toolkit, Germany’s Chancenkarte points checker, a German salary calculator in Turkish, an Australian novated-lease calculator, a UK redundancy package calculator, a Canadian self-employed tax calculator, and a US paycheck calculator in Spanish.
- Pakistan tools: an electricity bill estimator with editable NEPRA-style slabs, a salary tax calculator for FY 2026-27, a currency converter covering PKR, USD, EUR, GBP and 11 more currencies, petrol price information with a trip cost calculator, and astronomical prayer times for major cities.
How we build the calculators
Formulas come from official rules and reputable published sources, which are linked at the bottom of each tool page. Where official figures change on a schedule (UK redundancy caps each April, Pakistan fuel prices each fortnight, German contribution rates each year), the page says so — and where accuracy depends on fast-changing numbers, the inputs are editable so you can match the figure on your own bill or payslip.
Corrections and updates
Every tool page shows a “last updated” date and links its official sources, and the fast-moving pages — Pakistan petrol prices and the currency converter — are refreshed on a regular schedule. If you spot a figure that has changed, tell us via the contact page with a link to the official source: corrections to tax slabs, tariffs and caps are fixed first, ahead of everything else.
How the site is funded
ToolNova is free, with no accounts and no paywalls. To cover hosting and development, the site may display advertising served by Google AdSense. Advertising never influences a formula: every calculator is built from the official rules of its country, and the sources are printed on the page so you can check the maths yourself. How advertising and cookies work here is set out in the Privacy Policy.
Important note
Everything here is an estimate for planning and education. Tax, immigration and salary-sacrifice decisions can be worth thousands — for binding advice, use the official government calculator for your country or a licensed local professional. ToolNova never asks for accounts or personal documents, and all calculations run locally in your browser. Questions, corrections and tool requests are welcome at hello@toolnova.co.
